Happy Day | Scrapbook Layout

Sarah here today with a scrapbook layout featuring the Colour your Days - Maths ribbon.

I knew I wanted to save this ribbon for my boys first day at school, it works perfectly as the rainbow colour would work with any uniform colour combo. I created a montage of photos as he wouldn't stand still and smile nicely for one good shot!

The colour scheme I chose was black red and white with a hint of yellow to match the school badge. I used black card stock and red acrylic paint through a stencil and extra splashed around the stencilled numbers.

Under my photo I layered up lots of patterned papers with foam in between to add a little height. I distressed the edges for more texture and cut out a calendar and typewriter to use as embellishments.

Amongst the papers I stapled in the ribbon and across the top of the page to really show it off in detail. I added stickers and sequins around the photo cluster and calendar and circled the date and wrote the year in red pen. To brighten the background and tie in the ribbon I added white ink splashes over the top.

You can check out the process video of how I created the layout here.

Thanks for joining me and have a Happy Crafty Day :)

Thinking of you

Hi there! I have used the negative after cutting ut oval
dies and made two cards in coloured cardstock. First
I used a beautiful broad ribbon with tulips and sentiments;
see all the ribbons with tulip messages HERE. I also
complemented with some recycled pieces of ribbons
from clothes and also some lace. Lace are HERE

The second card features only one ribbon, a sheer
purple organza ribbon that is discontinued BUT the same
beautiful design can still be found on the satin ribbon HERE

Remember to use your negatives after die cutting!

Greetings from Sweden and thanks
for liking Crafty Ribbons like we do!!

Ooooh it is a bit chilly here in Dorset this morning.
Here at CR HQ we do love playing with ribbon!
Great job 😃

Have you ever tried Somerset Patchwork?

Ribbon to the rescue!

I started a new diary this month.

Nothing fancy, just a cheap one from the supermarket.

Suited me perfectly, except it would not stay open on the day.

Ribbon to the rescue!

You can find the stone ribbon here

https://www.craftyribbons.com/details.aspx?p=8464

A simple band of ribbon with a small piece of elastic in the middle.

Perfect and so easy 😃

Stones Grosgrain

Good Morning
Wendy L aka Spanish Crafter here to show you a pencil case I made.

I used the stone Grosgrain ribbon in two different colours, as these were the two snips I had left over from another project.
I sewed it onto felt with enough room to hold a Polychromo pencil snuggly.

Very happy with how this turned out as I am not the greatest machinist.
It wil hole all my pencils  and I can take to my Craft club now.

I stitched the felt onto an old Duvet cover and added straps to tie it all together.

Have a good day

New display props

Morning Crafty folk

I decided we needed a few fresh display props for our exhibition stand. So it was play time 😃

I choose to play with our Santa Grotto ribbons, you can find them here https://www.craftyribbons.com/stock_santas_grotto___tags-7814_1131.aspx

Now what to make?

I am very much into bunting at the mo, so pockets were made.

Completely turned, corners poked out and ironed flat.

Next each pocket was inserted into bias binding to make the bunting.

Not sure if I will add numbers to make it an Advent bunting. Will sit and look at it for a while 🤣

Have a great day

Look my smart bow-tie!

I have a lovely friend who loves bow-ties. And I thought of him when I made this little one with raspberry ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.

Isn't charming?  I used my teddy bear as model because it's a surprise. He doesn't know yet I made it for him. I will saw him in late september.

I used raspberries ribbon but with any sweat treat ribbon it could be fun.

I am in hurry to see him with on his shirt! It could be also a brooch (I put a pin beside) or a hair clip. Just some tips for you.
(You could see also a saddle stitch ribbon.)

The Ribbon of course is from Crafty Ribbons
and I have used the 3mm Satin Ribbon in White
I use this Ribbon so much and it comes in tons of delish colours.
