Congratulations with bling ribbon

Here's my second attempt to make a starburst
card; maybe it looks slightly better than the first
one. Grattis means "congrats" in Swedish.

This ribbon in among my favourite

First Layout for Crafty Ribbons DT

Hi Everyone. I decided I needed a new challenge for myself personally so I decided to apply to some design teams. I am so lucky and have been accepted by Crafty Ribbons
I decided to start with something I am at home with so made a mixed media layout
I began by choosing a photo and edging it with papers from the Echo Park Imagine That Girl and Doodlebug Designs So Punny

DSC00492

I then edged the photo further with three types of ribbon:
Bling Velvet Ribbon in Rose Quartz
Baby Ribbon Dots/Island Blue
Patchwork Rose Ribbon Flowers

DSC00494

Add a trim from the So Punny collection and then add Ric Rac Ribbon 5mm Ivory
Coat the middle section with Prima Clear Gesso and dry

DSC00495

Add coordinating ink sprays and dry

DSC00497

Add cardboard to the photo piece and journal card from So Punny to give it height and stick to the main page

DSC00498.JPG

Add a variety of embelishments from the So Punny and Imagine That ranges such as stickers, chipboards and enamels and finish with 3 heart buttons from Crafty Ribbons

DSC00504.JPG

I hope you enjoy this project and look forward to bringing you more
Here are some close ups for you to see the ribbon and buttons in all their glory.

Threading Ribbon

Good Morning
I want to share with you two pretty cards I have made for my first DT posting.
For my first one I used pretty pink round buttons and heart shaped buttons tied onto this gorgeous Heart Grosgrain ribbon.

My second card, I used Satin Walnut Silver Ribbon threaded with pearl beads.
They look like little bows.

For both of them I have used John Next Door Ribbon Threader die, just perfect to show off these gorgeous ribbons.

Spring Card using Gnome Ribbon - Bees

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Today I am sharing a spring related card for the Easter Share over on the Facebook Page for Crafty Ribbons. (I don't have many Easter projects finished yet!!!) I used the super cute Bee Ribbon from the Garden Gnome Collection.

I used some scrap spring coloured papers. The wreath die is Spellbinders, the bunny is an X-cut die and the bees are a Fiskars punch.

To finish my card I added glitter to the bees wings and bunny, and pearls to the flower centres.

Thanks for looking,

Fairy Scrapbook Layout with Vintage Rose Ribbon and 3mm Satin Ribbon

Morning Everyone!

Today I'm sharing a scrapbook page I have created with photos of my daughter from a fairy themed birthday shoot. For this I used, the beautiful Vintage Rose Ribbon in Beige/Blue and the 3mm Satin Ribbon in Copen, as I thought the complimented the colour scheme from the photos perfectly.

I wanted to bring out the flowers from the photos with the papers and ribbon and keep the colour theme of natural colours with blues.

I added a satin ribbon bow and used the ribbon tails to make the flowers a bit like rosettes. I love how this one turned out and will definitely try and do more scrapbooking with ribbon.

Mother's Day Card using Seam Binding Ribbon

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I'm sharing with you one of my Mother's Day Cards I made using the beautiful Seam Binding Ribbon - please check it out on the website as it's really versatile! You can leave it as is for a modern look or spray with water and scrunch it, drying overnight, for a vintage look!
I went with the modern look and kept the bow clean looking and classy.

I wanted a soft looking ribbon to break up the busy background of my card and tied a double bow to finish. This Seam Binding ribbon is so beautiful and available in a range of colours.
