Stag ribbon from Santa's grotto was just perfect!

I made five cards in same spirit with reindeer theme. I change only the ribbon.

I used believe in the magic  for this card.

Christmas Canvas Shopping Bag

Hey Folks, Laura here sharing my last project before Christmas.  I bought a plain canvas bag and have used goodies from the Santa's Grotto range to decorate it.

I have used super sticky double sided tape to attach my ribbons.  This is a strong enough adhesive to put up with bad weather whilst out shopping, and the rough and tumbles of the festive world.  Alternatively, you could sew the ribbon on.  The bag could also be used as a gift bag or a stocking-of-sorts.

I've layered up my ribbons to give a nice wide band of decoration.  The cut ends of the ribbon are neatly hidden by the Santa and Snowman motif.  Before cutting the central motif I painted the back of the ribbon with matte medium.  This stops any fraying and stiffens it up making it much easier to cut.  I added two little heart buttons with gold thread for the finishing touch.

Here are links to the products I have used:

Christmas Challenge

Good Morning!

Today we have a brand new challenge with the theme of 'Christmas'. Super easy - no excuse not to enter :-)

I'm loving these icy blues for Christmas cards this year and the pretty Morlaix Cotton Lace in White adds just a perfect elegant finishing touch. The new Christmas sentiment ribbons have also been well used this year. This one is from the Christmas Rose collection (Merry Christmas Black).

Every year I swear I'm not going to be making my Christmas cards in December. Next year I will try harder - promise!!

Hugs, Jayne

Embellished Tea Towel

Hi Guys, Laura here today.  Imagine the scene... the oven is on, the smell of a roast is in the air, the kids are laughing and playing, you pop in to the kitchen to check on the food and see this fun tea towel drying on the oven door!

I am making a few of these as gifts this year.  I bought some plain tea towels on offer and simply added a length of ribbon with my sewing machine.  I unpicked a little of the side seams so I could tuck the ribbon ends under for a nice neat finish.

I've used Parcels from Santa's Grotto for this one but any of our festive ribbons will work well.  It's a great way to cheer up the kitchen over the festive season, and may even make doing the chores a bit better!

Thanks for stopping by!
