Fathers Day button heart

A simple idea for Fathers Day - pick a map or chart that is special to Dad.
Looks brill on a brick wall - maybe in a garage, so perfect for Dad.
Le Havre holds a special place for Tony and I, mainly fear of being run over and sunk by the
massive channel boats.

A card for a special girl

Hello there! Nice to see you! :) I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

I want to show you a card that I made for one special little girl. To read who and why, just visit my blog - you will get all the information there.

In case you didn't know this, I LOVE layering ribbons. And these wide satin ribbons are perfect for this. Plus, they come in such beautiful colours. Love them! <3 For my card I used 35 mm New Turq satin ribbon and 25 mm khaki grosgrain ribbon. The khaki grosgrain ribbon is currently out of stock, but there are maaaaany other awesome grosgrain ribbons available so be sure to check them out. ;)

For other info about the card just hop to my blog. :)

Have a lovely Sunday! xx

Chocolate and Cake? Yes Please!!

Hi Folks, Laura here today.

As soon as Ali showed us the gorgeous cake and chocolate ribbons I knew I wanted to do a scrapbook layout with them.  Here is what I came up with...

I also wanted to include the 'after' photo so I made a flap...

I loved using the ribbon in place of the paper layers I would usually use and I love the effect they give.  These ribbons and tonnes more are available here.

Have a lovely day

Butterflies

Hello and Good Morning!  It's Laura here today with a layout to share with you...

I distressed and inked all of my edges and alphas with walnut coloured ink.  The chocolate ribbon with dots needed a bit of help to blend in.  The dots were white and they stood out too much so I just painted over them with cream paint.  I aged the satin edged ribbon by spritzing with water and screwing it up tightly I to a ball.  When it had dried naturally (I left it overnight) I opened it up and it was all aged and crinkled - perfect!  I simply stapled it on to the layout in a less than precise manner to give a loose, squiggly line of ribbon.

Thanks for letting me share and don't forget to stop by tomorrow for something super special...
