Cracker!

Hi Ribbon Fans, Laura here today sharing a fun table cracker.

I've taken a sheet of patterned paper and drafted a template.  There are loads available online to copy or print out.  I added a scalloped border at either edge for a little extra something.

I tied with Happy Christmas in red from the Santa's Grotto range.

And added Robin trim to the ends.  They look so fun and with five of these character ribbons in the range each of the family could have a different one!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gift Bag

Hi Guys,  Laura here today with a Christmas Gift Bag.

I took a plain white bag and gave it a good spritz with gold spray ink.  I concentrated more colour at the top of the bag and let it fade out towards the bottom.  You can pick up blank paper bags at most craft stores, or recycle ones you have been given.

I've taken two ribbons from the Santa's Grotto range and painted the backs with matte medium.  When this is dry it allows you to fussy cut the ribbon without fraying.  I matted the large motif on to some gold mirror card, and layered it up over a couple of pieces of lace.

I then added two of the tag motifs to the base of the handle.  Perfect for giving a gift this Christmas, not terribly time consuming, and even something you can get the kids to join in with... go on, do some Christmas crafting!!

Ingredients:
Tag Ribbon
Badge Ribbon
2mm silk ribbon
Volcan Lace

To see life in blue!

Time for a new Crafty Ribbon challenge this week we see life in blue!

I love this spring owl ribbon so I put Mr in a frame of log cabin ribbons. Do you know I am really fond of patchwork?

Light colors on the one hand and dark on the other.  I used a lot of swiss dots ribbon, candy saddle stitch and gros grain saddle stitch plus smile blue message.

Hoping you will receive my smiles all special as you are for me !

My rainy pouch!

For rainy days, it is good to have a second pair of shoes just in case! It is what I asked to my pupils to have on their coat-peg. But some were very happy to be in class in socks!

So always to have an umbrella and shoes in your bag, no?

I used a fait main , and wellies ribbon from Summer festival collection. To close I used a satin cord.

In plus, a ladybird one because it is my nickname! These wells are so cute aren't they?

It is time for a new challenge today: Anything goes with ribbon or lace!
Challenge #174 is on the way HERE
Come on and show us how you play with our wonderful ribbons!

More photos on my blog if you want to see...

Have a beautiful day even if it is a rainy one!
