*ATCHOO*

Bless you!

Laura here today showing you a make with the new owl ribbons.  They are lovely - happy, colourful and cute.  I wanted to make something that I could use a long length of the ribbon to really show it off - I really didn't want to cut it up!!  So...

...here is a tissue box!

I took a regular tissue box and measured it, then with a sheet of 12x12 paper I made a sleeve to fit over the box.  I attached mine underneath - if you do this with repositionable glue you can simply take the sleeve off and stick on to a new box when the tissues run out.

I decorated the top with a strip of owl ribbon mounted on to some lilac paper.  Then, and I was really excited by this, I used rub ons to write bless you on to a flat button.  I didn't know rub ons worked on buttons, but they do and they are really effective!  I glued the button on with pin flair glue gel.

This is on display on Crafty Ribbons exhibition stand.  It's been to Glasgow and Olympia and I think it will go to the NEC too :)

Cars and Lorries

Hi it's Laura here, and today I have a pen pot to share with you...

I need to try and find more boy-ish things to make now I have a nephew... it's probably just as well as I would have driven my brother and sister-in-law mad if it had been a girl.  I'd have been making dresses and hair accessories and frilly things...

Boy craft I always find a little harder, but now Crafty Ribbons have released their new car ribbons it's all a little bit easier!

This pen pot is made from a large cardboard tube cut down to size and given a few coats of gesso inside and out.  Then using red backed tape (you know the really sticky one) I stuck a couple of lengths of ribbon round.

Seriously cute ribbon :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty in pink

Good morning! It's my turn to post something here and I decided to show you a card I made the other day.

It's a pretty simple one (for me anyways lol). I didn't add a whole lot of embellishments, but of course I couldn't resist using ribbon. I used a 25 mm grosgrain ribbon from Crafty ribbons. It was just perfect size and colour. They have grosgrain ribbons in lots of different colours, sizes and designs so you really should hop to their store and have a look. ;)

If you want some more info about my card, please go to my blog.
Hugs! xx

Buttons!

Hi Everyone!  It's Laura here today.

I have a fun photo frame idea to share with you today...

I used a tonne of buttons to decorate a clip frame.  I lay out all the buttons and played around until I had the look I was after and the glued them on one by one.

I used pin flair glue gel (a hot glue gun would work well too) and buttons from these collections; bright flowers, garden brights, garden pastels, flower blooms, dolly mixtures, cosy brights, delphinium crush, plum, and the fabulous new lilacs.  (Of course, you could make a frame from one collection of buttons but where's the fun in that!!)

All of these buttons, and a load more besides, are available at Crafty Ribbons in the button section.

Have a great day!
Laura
