Seaside Mixed Media Mini Pallet

Sarah here with a mixed media project using the Fresh Stripe and Ric Ric ribbons.

If you would like to see the full process you can watch my video here.

I painted a mini wooden pallet from a mixed media kit with gesso and added texture with sand paste and art stones.
Once dry I added paint and inks to colour the background.

Using 3D gel medium I attached the pieces of net to the pallet, the photo was layered with papers cheese cloth and hessian to add lots of texture.

Shells, flowers and sequins added to the nautical theme and some Ric Rac added more texture the sandy background.

I added a sweet quote on a chipboard heart sticker and added some Fresh Stripe ribbon for an added touch of cuteness!!

More wider matching Fresh Stripe ribbon turned my pallet into a little piece of wall art.

Thanks for visiting, do check out the Crafty Ribbons Facebook group for competitions and inspiration and have a great day!

Ribbon around Vases

Hello Chaps,  Laura here today.

We share cards and paper craft inspiration with you all the time - here is something a little different.  I have a few small glass test tubes that are perfect for small flowers posies, or the last resilient few flowers from a bunch.  I love to tie a coordinating ribbon around the neck of the tube.  For these I have used With Love from the Wedding Owls range and Sentiment Ribbon from the Animal Cuddles range.

Thanks for stopping by!

Box Frame

Hi Everyone, Laura here today.

This white box frame has been hanging around in my 'to alter' pile for quite a while.  When I saw this meadow ribbon from the Summer Festival range I knew I wanted to extend it in to a picture...

I gathered a few buttons, my butterfly punch and a blue Inktense colouring pencil.

I cut a square of watercolour paper to fit the frame and very faintly drew some cloud lines and blended it out with a water brush.

I added the flower buttons as if they were growing from the ribbon.  I added one butterfly with dimensional glue and suspended the other on thread.

Quite simple, effective and very fun to make!
Thanks for looking,
Laura

Easter Garden

Hello Ribbon Fans!  It's Laura here today...

I looked at the calendar when I got the date for this post I thought it was quite near Easter.  I tried to come up with an Easter craft... there are so many Christmas crafts but not so many for Easter it seems…

We used to make Easter gardens at Sunday school and youth group; I always enjoyed making them and thought I’d revive my love but with a ‘ribbony’ twist.

get your buttons for gravel here!
get your ponds here!
