Ric Rac and Bugs

Good morning everyone I hope that your week is going well.  My inspiration today is a card featuring some fabulous Jumbo Ric Rac. I just loved using this on this boy card and it works so well for the embellishment on all male cards. Its great to find something for the men cards as we all seem to dread doing them!!

If you fancy taking a closer look at all the Ric Rac colours available and the other fab ribbons in the store just click here. Further details about my card can be found on my blog The things I Love

hi!

Hi!  It's Laura here today...

This is the project I am sharing;

Two types of ribbon mixed with a tag, a cut file, a scrap of ink soaked paper, a couple of alpha stickers and an enamel dot.

A close up of the details...

I made the ruffle using white ribbon from a £1 ribbon pack.  I set my sewing machine to the longest, straight stitch possible and sewed down the middle of the ribbon - it doesn't even need to be a straight line, which is just as well really!!  Then pull on one thread and ease the ribbon along, et voila!  Secure the threads with a knot so it doesn't unruffle over time.  I find the super sticky red backed tape the easiest way to stick ruffles down.

I also used the 3mm grosgrain from the Baby Washing range to finish off my tag.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Recycled Jars ...................

Hi everyone Lynsey here with some inspiration for you today.  To make these pretty jars which started off filled with pasta sauces I painted them with chalk paint which covers jars really well after a few coats.  I next wound string around the middle of the jars and then used some gorgeous lace from the Crafty Ribbons shop and finally finished with a burlap flower and resin rose.

Project Life Style Pocket Page

Hi! It's Laura here today with a pocket page.

I've used tons of snippets from my ribbon jar including these beauties: swiss dots, saddlestitch, thin grosgrain, organza dots, sentiment ribbon.  I ruffled some, I made some bunting...  I stuck some down, I sewed some down... and I used some like I use sentiment stickers.

There are close up pictures on my blog if you'd like to see the small details.

Swiss Dots Happy Birthday with Leah Tees

Hello everyone, are you ready for spring yet?  I know I am, and when I sat down to make this card, I wanted to see bright and cheery colors.  And that's what I did, with watercolor :)  And ribbon of course!  I used the Swiss Dots Grosgrain Ribbon to make the flower and stripe on this Happy Birthday card :)

Believe it or not, I chose the ribbon before I made the card, by reaching into my Crafty Ribbons container and without looking, pulling one out, hahahaha.  It worked!

Don't forget to join in on the challenges which you can find here, and come and visit the ribbon emporium for all your ribbon and lace AND button needs!

Minialbum for Charlie

I made a cute little mini album with pictures of
dear Charlie and his little sister:

Since I love the grosgrain ribbons in clear and
strong colours; I have used a green candy saddle
stitch  ribbon around it all to make a knot when
album is closed (above) and blue ones
(island blue) for the tags behind some pictures.

I made one picture on a flap with another
picture underneath and I used a piece of
swiss dots ribbon to lift the flap:

There are more pictures on my blog.
